CBSE Waiving of OASIS penalty due to COVID 19 pandemic
It has been observed that many schools could not update the data in the OASIS portal due to the lockdown due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The schools could not function continuously and hence, there was an inordinate delay in updating the online OASIS portal due to which financial penalty was imposed on the schools.
What is CBSE OASIS Portal?
OASIS (Online Affiliated School Information System) is a system or platform created by the board to require CBSE affiliated schools to update certain information to keep them in the loop. However, the Board has decided to waive off the fine in view of the financial constraints faced by the schools due to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this regard, considering the financial constraints of the schools, the Competent Authority of the Board has decided to waive the penalty imposed on all the schools for not updating the data in the online OASIS portal.
Therefore, some decisions have been taken. That decision is detailed below:
- Schools whose penalty amount is less than Rs 1 lakh will have to pay the actual amount of the fine and update the data within a month.
- Schools whose penalty amount is more than Rs 1 lakh, will have to pay only the penalty amount of Rs 1 lakh and update the data within a month.
Apart from this, the school authority is also advised to update the OASIS data from time to time as per the guidelines of the Board. Schools will not be further exempted from fines for not updating OASIS data.
How to update data in CBSE OASIS Portal?
If you want to update your school data in CBSE OASIS Portal then follow the steps given below:
Step I: Visit the official website of CBSE or Click here to this Login Link for Update CBSE OASIS Portal.
Step II: After clicking the above link, the Login page will open.
Step III: Enter your User ID, Password, and Captcha (show on screen) then click on the “Log In” button.
Step IV: After clicking the “Log In” Button, your OASIS Portal Dashboard will Open. Once the dashboard is open, you can update OASIS data.
