Training of teachers teaching Multi Skill Foundation Course 2022 at Secondary Level

The New Education Policy 2020 emphasized the need to shift from rote learning to competency-based learning to ensure proficiency in learning by students in dealing with real-life situations. The Multi-Skill Foundation Course (Skill Topics with Subject Code 416) allows the weaving of skill education with mainstream subjects and encourages learning with real-life experimentation. The objective of this topic is to make learning multisensory, enjoyable, reflective, and multidisciplinary.

Multi Skill Foundation Course (MSFC) was one of the 73 sanctioned job roles by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2018. Subsequently, the curriculum was adopted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) as one of the skill education subjects.

Schedule for Multi Skill Foundation Course

In order to provide training to teachers teaching Multi Skill Foundation Course in CBSE affiliated schools, CBSE in collaboration with Lend-a-Hand India is organizing an online teacher education on “Multi Skill Foundation Course”. The dates of training will be from 31 January 2022 to 3 February 2022.

All teachers teaching Multi Skill Foundation Course in CBSE affiliated schools should attend this online training. Registration is required to participate in this training, the registration form is given below.

Module 1: Food Processing Techniques and Personal Health and Hygiene

Module 2: Energy and Environment

Module 3: Gardening, Nursery, and Agricultural Techniques

Module 4: Workshop and Engineering Techniques

Please follow the instructions below before starting the training

• The training is mainly divided into 4 modules, namely:
  a) Module 1: Food Processing Techniques and Personal Health and Hygiene
  b) Module 2: Energy and Environment
  c) Module 3: Gardening, Nursery, and Agriculture techniques
  d) Module 4: Workshop and Engineering Techniques
• It is compulsory to attend all four modules.
• Two practicals of approximately 4 hours each will be covered through an online demonstration from Lend-a-Hand India Training Center for each module.
• After each module, the participants are to be assessed on the same day and as per the timings mentioned in the schedule.
• The email id and mobile number that you use for registration, the same email id, and mobile number should be used to join the training and access the assessment, otherwise, the results of the assessment will not be valid.
• Participants can take assessment only once using the registered email id; a Minimum of 60% marks are required to pass in all four modules.
• Assessment will be based on the material covered in the training sessions.
