Raksha Bandhan 2022 Celebration

Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu event that is observed on that day, the eighth full moon of the lunar month of Shravan. At the same time, it’s crucial to remember the following guidelines:

  • There shouldn’t be any restrictions if the full moon has reached old age during the full moon. In this case, the entire celebration shall be completed in the ninth period of the next day if the full moon occurs in the first three months of the following day.
  • However, if the full moon is not visible in the first three days of the next day, Raksha Bandhan can be celebrated later in the second half of the second phase of the next day.
  • Although in certain locations, such as Punjab, the morning and dusk are not regarded as more essential, it is often customary to celebrate the Rakhi celebration before the afternoon hour. However, according to the Vedas, celebrating Raksha Bandhan during Bhadra month is strictly forbidden in any case.

Pooja Vidhi Raksha Bandhan

On Raksha Bandhan, a sister binds a Rakhi around the wrist of their brothers. At the same time, they beg for the brothers’ blessings, wealth, and happiness. While tying Rakhi on the wrist, a Mantra is uttered; by reading the mantra, even the Pandit can tie Rakhi to Yahan for their protection; that mantra is:

“Raja Danavendro Mahabal, Yen Bandho Bali”

There is also a well-known mythological story behind this mantra, which is frequently read during Raksha Bandhan worship. Dharmaraj Yudhishthira once expressed a wish to hear such a narrative from Lord Shri Krishna that may lead to escape from all afflictions and problems. In response, Shri Krishna gave them the following story:

During the mythological age, there was a 12-year conflict between stories and occurrences. It was widely assumed that the Asuras would win the war. The King of Demons seized control of the three realms and crowned himself King of the Trilok. The demons’ Devraj Indra Guru then came to Brihaspati’s sanctuary and asked for protection. The Raksha Puja was then finished in the morning.

Guru Brihaspati read the above-mentioned mantra in this fashion, and Indra and his wife Indrani repeated it behind him. Indra’s wife, Indrani, granted all Brahmins the power of defense and tethered her to the wrist of Indra’s right hand. With the energies obtained from this Puja, Indra conquered Ashur and reclaimed his lost regime.

Another popular method to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Women prepare to worship in the morning and place a gold leg on the house’s walls. Following that, people worshipped him with kheer and sweets. The Rakhi thread is then wrapped with gold thread. The ladies who plant horns on Nag Panchami do it for religious purposes. They keep these earrings on the brothers’ ears after tying Rakhi around their wrists.

Raksha Bandhan Festival History

According to the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna’s hand was once injured. Mother Draupadi then tore a piece of her robe and fastened it to Lord Krishna’s hand. After that, Lord Krishna offers Draupadi the pleasure of protecting her with protection for the rest of her life, and only this joyful Rakhi was celebrated.

According to another legend, Karnavati, the queen of Chittor, sent Humayun a rakhi in exchange for security assurance. Keeping Karnavati’s words in mind, Humayun provides protection to Karnavati, following which the Raksha Bandhan celebrations begin.

The Importance of the Rakhi Festival

Every sister wishes her brothers a long life on Raksha Bandhan. And make a prayer to God for good weather. On this day, sisters visit the temple to pray to Lord Krishna for the safety of their brothers. On this day, after tying the Rakhi, the brothers promise for the safety of their sisters and also give them various presents. Sister ties a lucky thread around their brother’s hand. Brothers promise to provide them with lifelong security.

This is a particularly fortunate bond between brothers and sisters that is manifested via good sacraments. Sacraments strengthen the bond between brothers and sisters. There have been traditions for tying the Rakhi to trees since ancient times. The Banyan tree ladies tie the thread and present Roli, Chandan Dhoop, and light while praying for their husband’s long life. Similarly, there is the concept that time reads two separate trees. Similarly, there is so much power in the Rakhi that fills her brother’s life with pleasure and success.
