COVID-19-Related JEE Advanced Guidelines
General Instructions and Preparation at the Center
1. Standard Operating Procedures are in place for implementing safety precautions and maintaining the required level of hygiene.
2. The Seating Area will be thoroughly sanitized prior to the start of each paper, including the display, keypad, mouse, webcam, desk, and chair. All door handles, stairwell railings, lift buttons, and other surfaces will be decontaminated. Wheelchairs (if available) will be disinfected.
3. Candidates and Test Centre staff will be able to use hand sanitizers at the entrance and throughout the Test Centre.
4. Barcode scanners will be available at the Test Centre’s entrance to scan the barcode on the Admit Card. After reading the barcode, the candidate will be informed of the Lab/Hall/Room number.
5. To ensure hygiene, invigilators will place a scribble pad at each candidate’s desk prior to the start of each paper.
Preparation for Exams
1. To avoid crowding at the entrance to the Test Centre at the time of entry and to maintain social distance, candidates should adhere to the Entry time at the Test Centre communicated via SMS the day before the exam.
2. The candidate must complete and properly fill out the COVID-19 Self Declaration (Undertaking) on the Admit Card.
At the time of Entrance
1. Candidates must always wear their own masks and are strongly advised to bring their own bottle of sanitizer as well as a transparent bottle of water.
2. Candidates must maintain their social distance at all times. Outside the Test Centre, queue managers/ropes and Floor Marks will be set up. Candidates must follow the instructions given by Test Centre personnel.
3. No lab/hall/room numbers will be displayed outside the Test Centre to avoid crowding in any situation. Instead, when the bar code on the Admit Card is scanned, the candidates will be informed of this information.
4. Before entering the Test Centre, candidates must sanitize their hands by washing them with soap and using a Hand Sanitizer. Throughout the test, hand sanitizer will be available.
