The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) yesterday on 17 January 2022 announced the CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 for Class 8 to 10 Students, aimed at inculcating curiosity, a spirit of inquiry, and higher-order thinking among students in sync with the scientific and technological advancements. By engaging with this subject, students learn to think, solve problems & make informed decisions. As an initiative (or objective) to inculcate curiosity, enquiry, and higher-order thinking among the learners, the CBSE board is organizing the CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 for the students of classes VIII to X.
CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 for Students of Classes 8 to 10
Schedule of CBSE Science Challenge 2022: CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 will be available for students of classes 8 to 10 on the DIKSHA platform from 17 January 2022 to 28 February 2022.
To access the science challenge 2022, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) affiliated schools will have to register their students, provide CBSE registration ID to those students who can then join the “CBSE Science Challenge” course on the official Diksha platform. Students from schools not affiliated with CBSE can directly access the course on the official Diksha platform.
Schools can nominate five (5) children in each class who have secured a participation certificate in the Science Challenge 2021-22 directly to the second stage or national qualifiers of the Raman Young Science Innovator Awards (conducted by the RRI Trust founded by Noble Prize Winner Sir C.V. Raman).
Steps For Schools To Register For CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22
Step I: Go to the official website of CBSE or Click here for the Registration Page.
Step II: After clicking the above link, the registration page will open.
Step III: Enter Affiliation Number, Password, and Captcha pin (show on screen).
Step IV: After entering all details, click on the “Login” button.
Step V: The registered ID generated by the schools should be provided to the participating students so that they can access them on the DIKSHA portal at the beginning of the quiz.

Follow the following steps for registering in CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 for Class 8 to 10 Students
Step I: Students can access the course through the official DIKSHA portal on a laptop/computer or through the DIKSHA app on their Android Mobilephone. iPhone smart users can access this quiz on any mobile browser. They should have the latest version of the DIKSHA app from Google Playstore to access this quiz. If they already have the DIKSHA app, it can be ensured that it is updated to the latest version by visiting the Google PlayStore.
Step II: Students have to log in to the Portal or App using their existing DIKSHA portal credentials. In case they do not have an account on DIKSHA, they can register for it by clicking on the “Register here” button on the page. They can also sign in with an existing Google Account by clicking the “Sign in with Google” button.
Step III: CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 can be accessed in both English Language & Hindi Language. Select and click one of the languages for the Science Challenge 2021-22. This will open the login page.
Step IV: On reaching the home page of the course, click on the link “Join the course”.
Step V: Once they join the course, they will be able to access different modules of this course. They can either click on Start Learning or on one of the modules to access the content:
- The first module provides a brief introduction to the CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22 course.
- The second module is the CBSE Science Challenge 2021-22.
Step VI: Students from CBSE affiliated schools will have to fill in the Registration ID (to be provided by the school or teacher) before accessing the science quiz. Students from schools not affiliated with CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will have to skip filling this registration ID (please leave it blank).
Step VII: A participation certificate will be provided to all the science challenge students who complete the course. Upon completion of the course, the participation certificates will be issued online on the DIKSHA platform itself.
